Introduction
Spilling food or drink on your carpet can seem like a nightmare, but rather than simply staring at it in horror and thinking that it’ll never come out, here are a few carpet cleaning tips to getting rid of those stains:-

Act Immediately!
I cannot stress enough how important this is. The earlier you begin to tackle a spill, the less chance it has of becoming permanent!
Get those paper towels in there straightaway to soak up the excess liquid. Now you can get to work on the remaining stains.

Identify the Stain
You need to know what type of stain you’re tackling in order to determine the best approach towards cleaning it. Different stains require different formulas, some of which we will explain below.

Using the Correct Method
Spot cleaning is relatively simple. All you have to do is create a cleaning formula, grab a few clean towels, and BLOT the stain until it disappears…DO NOT RUB at the stain, this will damage the carpet fibres!
If the spillage covers a large are of carpet then wipe from the outside to the middle to avoid spreading even further.
There are commercial products out there that might do the trick, but a lot of the ingredients, you’ll find, are already sitting in your home.
Not only is this a MONEY SAVER, but it also helps to avoid cluttering under your sink.

How to Clean Red Wine

  • Pour white wine on it and blot.
  • Pour a lot of salt over the spill to absorb it then brush away the salt.
  • Step 1: Mix one teaspoon of mild detergent with a cup of lukewarm water and blot.

Step 2: Mix one part white vinegar to two parts water and blot.
Step 3: Repeat Step 1.
Step 4: Sponge with clean water and blot.

How to Clean Soft Drink

Step 3: Pour formula over the stained area and blot.
Step 4: Rinse with clean water and blot.

How to Clean Milk
Step 1: Soak up the excess milk.
Step 2: Pour white vinegar over the stain and blot.
Note: Your carpet will smell like vinegar for a while, but it will disappear once it’s completely dried.

How to Clean Raw Egg
Step 1: Collect as much of the spillage as possible with paper towels.
Step 2: Mix one teaspoon of household ammonia with half a cup of water and blot.
Step 3: Sponge with clean water.

How to Clean Olive Oil
Step 1: Soak up the excess oil with paper towels.
Step 2: Mix a dishwashing detergent with hot water and blot the stain to break up the oil.

How to Clean Melted Cheese
Step 1: Scrape the excess cheese with a dull knife.
Step 2: Soak up the grease using paper towels.
Step 3: Mix one teaspoon of mild detergent with lukewarm water and blot.
